Requirements

Android phone with the NotiVR companion app
PC and phone on the same local network
NotiVR running on your PC

Guide

Install the Companion App

Download the NotiVR companion app from the Google Play Store, or scan the QR code shown in NotiVR.

Once the app is installed, open it and proceed to the next step.

Pair your Phone

On your PC, click "I've installed the app".
In the phone app, find your PC in the device list.
Tap Connect under your PC's name.
Accept the pairing request in NotiVR on your PC.

If your phone cannot find your PC, switch to the Manual pairing tab.

If automatic discovery does not find your PC, you can connect manually. This is common on guest, corporate, or university networks that block local discovery.

In NotiVR, click Having trouble? Connect manually.
In the phone app, scan the QR code or enter the address shown by NotiVR.

Manual pairing depends on your PC's current network address. If that address changes, pair again or use automatic discovery.

Grant Permissions

Approve the permission prompts on your phone.

Allow NotiVR to send notifications. Android requires this so the companion app can keep running in the background.
Grant notification access to NotiVR. Follow the link in the prompt and allow NotiVR to read notifications.

If you are unable to grant notification access, try the following:

Go to Settings > Notifications > Device & App Notifications. The path varies by device manufacturer.
Find NotiVR in the list
Tap it and make sure Allow notifications is enabled

Test your connection

Once you have granted permissions, NotiVR should show a connected notification on your PC.

If you do not see it, try the connect button in the companion app.
