Connect your iPhone to NotiVR
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 17 or later
- Windows 11 PC with a compatible Bluetooth LE adapter
Certified Bluetooth Adapters
iOS support requries a Bluetooth adapter that supports the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripheral role.
It can be difficult to determine if your adapter has peripheral mode. NotiVR will check your adpater during the setup process.
But if you want to be sure, here are a list of Bluetooth adapters we've tested or have had reports of working.
This list is not exhaustive, if you would like to report an issue or a new working adapter, please contact us and we'll update this list.

Install the Companion App
Download the NotiVR companion app from the App Store. Either click the link or scan the QR code in the setup wizard on your PC.
Once the app is installed, open it and proceed to the next step.
Enable Bluetooth
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in Windows settings and in your iPhone settings
- Windows: Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > toggle on
- iPhone: Settings > Bluetooth > toggle on
Once you click "I've enabled Bluetooth" in the setup wizard, NotiVR will check your Bluetooth adapter and inform you if it is compatible.
If your adapter is not compatible, you may need to purchase a compatible adapter. Check the certified Bluetooth adapters list for more information.
Pair your iPhone
- On your PC, click "Start Pairing".
- On your phone, click "Search for Devices".
- You will see a list of PCs on your network. Tap your PC in the list.
- Accept the Bluetooth pairing request on both your iPhone and PC.
A handshake process with occur, this will take a few seconds. If you're not seeing any progress make sure you've approved the Bluetooth pairing request on both your iPhone and PC.

Approve Notification Sharing
Once you see a green checkmark on your iPhone, your phone has completed the handshake process.
A popup should appear within a few seconds asking you to approve notification sharing. Tap "Allow" to continue.
After this, you are done. Keep the companion app installed on your phone, it will run in the background and reconnect to your PC automatically.
