Tested Bluetooth Adapters

This page provides information on Bluetooth adapters that we have tested with NotiVR's iOS connection.

If you are experiencing issues with connecting your iPhone, we recommend checking to see if your Bluetooth adapter is on the list.

iOS support requires a Bluetooth adapter that supports the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) peripheral role. It can be difficult to tell from product listings whether an adapter supports this mode. NotiVR checks your adapter during setup and lets you know if it is compatible.

This list is not exhaustive. To report an issue or a working adapter, contact us.

Fixes

Barrot adapters

Some USB Bluetooth adapters using a Barrot driver can connect to ordinary Bluetooth devices but fail to advertise the service that NotiVR uses for iPhone pairing. NotiVR checks for incompatible adapters during iPhone setup and offers a patch that can be applied to fix the driver.

Apply the fix, accept the Windows administrator prompt, unplug the adapter and reconnect it to the same USB port. Click Check again, then start pairing. Undo Bluetooth fix restores the previous setting saved by NotiVR.
